Kristin was born with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy which affects her mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and breathing (she uses a ventilator full-time). Despite her physical challenges, she continues to pursue her love of travel and thus far has visited 20 countries across 4 continents (including Antarctica).
Now, she uses her knowledge and experience of traveling with a disability to help others. She is the owner and author of the wheelchair-accessible travel blog, World on Wheels Blog which provides helpful information and resources to help make planning accessible travel easier. Kristin has also started organizing accessible small group tours to help make traveling with a disability more affordable and to assist in taking the stress out of planning iconic and bucket list-worthy trips. Additionally, she also recently hosted an online accessible travel summit to help show that traveling with a disability is possible and acts as a one-stop shop for information on various aspects of accessible travel.
